Description
In many parts of rural Africa, clean water is just below the surface. People rely on hand dug wells which are dangerous to dig and can be easily contaminated. A simple drill rig and mud pump can drill a shallow water well up to 200′ deep in rural parts of Africa. These 4″ borehole wells are lined with casing (pipe) and capped with a concrete base and hand pump. Shallow water wells provide fresh, clean, safe drinking water for 500 or more people in a community. Your gift will provide the funds to complete one Water well for a village in Rural Kenya, Zambia or Malawi.
