Meet Samuel and Prema Sunder Raj, our National Directors in India. Two years after Sam became a Christian, he decided to leave his banking job and begin a career in ministry. “My family was very staunchly Hindu and deeply opposed me going to Bible College. My parents even threatened to commit suicide if I left my good paying job at the bank.” Later, while attending Bible seminary, Sam met his future wife Prema. Prema was born in Nazareth, India. Her family had Christian roots dating back several generations. Early in their marriage Sam and Prema served on the staff of Youth for Christ. They currently serve fulltime with Kids for the Kingdom. Today our ministry reaches throughout Southern India. Almost 3,500 children attend weekly Bible Clubs across the country. Each week when Bible Clubs convene the children learn praise songs, memorize Scripture, and listen to Bible stories. The children are nourished by the Word of God and afterwards, are filled with a generous plate of hot, nutritious food. Sam is a gifted speaker and boldly pronounces the Gospel – especially to children.  Prema also has a heart for children, is a gifted Bible teacher, and writes a daily internet devotion in Tamal.
