Shahzad and Irum were both born and raised in Pakistan where they met and began their ministry. In a predominantly Muslim, anti-Christian country, Shahzad and Irum worked as attorneys fighting for the rights of marginalized Christians. Because of their work, they were eventually targeted by extremists and had to flee Pakistan. They recently were accepted as refugee immigrants to Canada and are still faithfully running Christian programs in their home country of Pakistan and their adopted country of Sri Lanka and seek to bring the Gospel message to everyone they meet.
